Solana: Send transactions rarely confirmed
As a solany user, one of the most blissful experiences is waiting to confirm the transactions. Although this may seem like a small problem, our recent experience has shown how rare these confirmations are.
My transactions are rarely confirmed, sometimes only once a day, although I use a paid starter plan with Quicknode, one of the most popular and recognized solana nodes. This is also not an isolated incident. Many users have reported similar experiences in which their transactions will not be confirmed despite the best procedures.
Even though I raised this problem with Quicknode, I didn’t get the answer. It is disappointing that my problem may not be unique and emphasizes the need for more attention of the Solan team in relation to the transaction confirmation time.

To understand why transactions are rarely confirmed, we look at how Solana works. The solana network is designed in such a way that the transactions are processed in 32 signs, which are referred to as the “dose”. This means that several transactions can be processed together to reduce the entire transaction processing time.
However, the dose does not guarantee faster transaction confirmation times. In fact, it is possible that the transactions are attacked but not confirmed for various reasons, for example:
- High network overload: If too many transactions are processed at the same time, you can get lost in the queue.
- Node overload: Some Solana nodes may have a high load, leading to delays in processing and confirming the transactions.
- Network problems: The network problems can cause delayed or unsuccessful transactions.
Solution:
In order to alleviate these problems, QuickNode offers a paid initial plan that contains faster transaction confirmation times. Despite this update, we still experienced slow confirmations. Obviously, there are restrictions on how quickly transactions can be confirmed in Solana.
Call for action:
Given frustration and potential financial losses due to delayed transactions, it is important that the Solana team is directly related to these problems. This can:
- Improvement of nodes capacity to process high transaction volumes
- Implementation of more efficient dosage algorithms to reduce delay
- Increase stacking frequency to minimize overload
- Improvement of network security measures in order to prevent hacking and other harmful activities
While these changes are not leading, users continue to experience slow transactions. As a result, we may need to explore alternative solutions to ensure efficient and quickly processing our transactions.
By working on improved transactions confirmation times in Solana, we hope to end this frustrating problem and create a smoother user experience for all Solana users.
